About Us

Professional joy and fulfillment led us to start Radical System Development. In the words of our Founder -

Nearly 10 years ago, I took a leap of faith and transitioned from a job culture that was stable and structured to a remote project startup. When starting from scratch, a group is able to work together to define the culture, climate, and expectations. We founded our culture based on self-directedness, strengths, belonging, collaboration, and agency over our own time.

The joy of working in that culture completely changed my life. Experiencing joy and fulfillment at worked opened me up to accomplish personal goals that had been on the back-burner for years.

The culture also directly affected the company. Over the course of nearly 10 years now the company has:

  •  retained 95% of the original startup employees.
  •  Increase the number of  employees by 180% .
  • Been consistently rated 4.8/5 in customer satisfaction
  • and completed multiple innovative projects.

Working in a positive remote work culture, has brought me professional and personal joy and fulfillment that I didn’t know was possible. Radical System Development was started to bring that professional joy and fulfillment to others.

Why this Approach?

For Companies and Organizations

Joyful and fulfilled employees stick around and contribute to the success of a business or organization.

We frequently hear from organizations and companies who are trying to build a remote workforce, but old patterns of ineffective culture keeps the system from moving forward.

‘Being a great place to work is the difference between being a good company and a great company.’

— Brian Kristofek, President and CEO, Upshot

By building an effective remote culture, an organization can engage its workforce, retain employees, and transform to greatness.

For Individuals

People often ask, "How can I drive change in my organization even if I'm not the one in charge?"  Our experience has been that anyone can create a radical system change. It starts with being responsible for what you can control, and the coworkers you can influence.

Even a small team of 2 people has a culture. When you influence the culture of your small team, that team will begin to outperform others. Then a few scenarios tend to play out:

  •  you are left alone to enjoy the culture you created,
  •  someone from your team is promoted and they continue to grow the culture,
  • and/or other teams will start to wonder what you are doing and want to replicate the culture.

In this approach to changing culture, we can work with an individual and the ripple effect occurs causing shifts in culture throughout the organization.
